What is kintsugi?

Kintsugi, or golden joinery, is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery. The fragments are put back together using lacquer dusted with gold or silver powder. This process creates shimmering seams where the cracks used to be.

In Japanese culture, Kintsugi is considered a metaphor for life. It teaches us to embrace our flaws and imperfections. The broken parts of ourselves can be repaired, adding strength and beauty.
